A GFX Heat Exchanger and the T-K2 can work together to save energy and money.

The GFX Heat Exchanger with the Takagi T-K2 Tankless Heater can save you up to 70% of your energy bill as compared with a conventional water tank heater. Basically, the GFX heat exchanger is installed vertically to replace your drain pipe. You plumb cold water into bottom of the outside coil of the GFX and this cold water travels up the outside of the drain pipe and is preheated before entering your water heater. Once this water comes out the top of the GFX - it will have gained up to 25 to 35 degrees. All this with no moving parts. So - water heaters used in conjunction with a GFX will work less and thus will increase efficiency and output.

With this same 50-degree ground water - a 60-inch GFX will raise the ground water from 50-degrees from 75 to 80-degrees. (GFX Heat Exchangers are also in 30-inch and 40-inch sizes)

Now - let's use the 50-degree ground water and a 60-inch GFX to raise your ground water to 75-degrees - what would the same T-k2 will give you as compared to the 5.8 gpm and the same amount of energy used? Give up? About 6.9 gallons per minute. Yes

6.9 gpm!
